Affirmative Action Plan: An Affirmative Action Plan means specific actions in employment which are designed and taken for the purposes ensuring equal opportunities in terms of employment, eliminating substantial disparities and eliminating any present effects of past discrimination. The Agency’s Affirmative Action Plan includes the following components: The Non-Discrimination Policy statement which affirms our Agency’s commitment to equal opportunity, freedom from discrimination and affirmative action in compliance with state and federal regulations will be presented to each employee upon orientation and posted in RSC lobby which is accessible to the facility staff and the general public. Employees will be required to sign a statement acknowledging their understand and compliance VNC will provide evidence that the non-discrimination practices have been publicized in the community at least every 3 years by the agency Web site advertisement. Procedure: This policy will be reviewed with all staff during orientation to ensure their understanding and compliance and a copy of this policy will be posted in the VNC lobby. The employee will be required to sign an Acknowledgment evidencing the review of this policy and attesting that they will adhere to the requirements when providing services to client/participant/participants and report any instances of discrimination to the President. Client/participant’s will also be presented with information stating that VNC does not discriminate in the provision of services upon admission and will sign an acknowledgment of receipt which will be kept in the client/participant Agency record. The Agency Owner or designee will continue to monitor Agency hiring practices and provision of services to ensure equal opportunities in employment and provided and that services are being provided to client/participants in a non-discriminatory manner.
